Funeral Directors > United Kingdom > Newcastle Upon Tyne
My family and I provide a 24 hour service to all of our customers with an open and honest approach. We have between us 48 years of experience and knowledge. We show integrity, confidentiality, empathy and provide an exceptional level of service. We are a truly independent Funeral Directors Newcastle.
We are a truly independent funeral service. We are not part of any national company and not incorporated. I was born in Newcastle, went to local schools and since leaving have worked in the funeral profession for over 41 years. I am fully qualified and are the only independent funeral director in Newcastle holding both the Diploma in Funeral Directing and also the British Institute of Embalmers. My knowledge in funeral service started with the North Eastern Cooperative where I worked for 25 years in Newcastle and Tyneside. At the North Eastern Cooperative I progressed through from a funeral worker into management. In 2006 I joined Newcastle Funeral Service in Gosforth and for the next 8 years worked there in a self-employed role. During my time at Newcastle Funeral Service I felt a need within the industry for a more personal bespoke service and as such felt it was time to open my own funeral home. In 2014 it setup Mark Wait Funeral Service and have had the pleasure to provide my personal service to families throughout the North East. In 2017 I was joined by my daughter Kelsey and we are now both well known in providing an enviable high standard of service to all our clients. Between us we have 48 years of wealth, experience and knowledge in all funeral aspects and will always practice to the highest of standards. We always respect the deceased, our clients and always provide a service to meet your wishes, adhering to any guidelines, laws and consider other people as not to cause upset or distress to them. We are always available 24 hours a day to answer any questions that you may have whether your call is in relation to a death, pre-paid funeral or just a general enquiry we look forward to speaking to you. As a Funeral Directors Newcastle Upon Tyne we always try to support local businesses and will seek to source services and goods as close to our own area as possible. Yours sincerely Mark & Kelsey
