Alderson & Horan

Let us guide you through this difficult time... The death of a loved one comes as a great shock to us all. On receiving the first call, it is our policy to take complete responsibility for all details involved so that relatives have no more worry than is absolutely necessary at this difficult time.

Stephen Alderson and John Horan are brothers-in-law who set up this family business in 2004 and remain completely committed to quality and service. Stephen and John have more than 40 years’ experience in all aspects of the funeral industry. They worked together at a local funeral company for many years, until it was taken over by a much larger company – which didn’t fit with their idea of the personal service that they felt families should be offered. The business has grown steadily year on year, and there is now a team of nine regular staff. Five are direct family and four are extended family members, along with several drivers. Here at Alderson and Horan, family values are very important to us. We feel that the families we deal with – at their most difficult time – appreciate the warm, heartfelt and friendly service and atmosphere we offer. We’ve been told it gives them the confidence they need, to trust in someone to carry out such important tasks at this upsetting time. Our family value your feedback. If you’d like to leave a testimonial, please get in touch. Absolutely amazing service and will highly recommend! Thank you for everything, one amazing family and dedicated funeral services. Burnley is the best Alderson and Horan funeral directors and all who work at Alderson and Horan are amazing & outstanding. They go above and beyond. Letter Janet Hollins To Alderson and Horan Thank you to all the staff for doing my mum AL a lovely service and helping me through a difficult day. All the best from P and family The family of MO’S wish to thank you very much for the attention to detail and professional service provided on the day of M’s funeral. We are glad that we decided to have the two white horses and carriage, they looked beautiful and were a great tribute to M, who loved horses, especially ‘Desert Orchid’. She would have loved it as did all her family and friends. M & C xx To Stephen and all staff at Alderson and Horan Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for the way you have all looked after my mum (SA). Love from SW and all the family xxx
