The CMA's requirement for Standardised Price Lists to be published on funeral director' websites and in-branch is making it easier for the public to explore the likely costs of their planned funeral, while the increase of popularity of review sites such as Trust Pilot and Google Reviews, as well as a host of funeral-specific ones, means online reviews are also playing an important partin consumers' research and buying process. Added to that is a generally increased willingness within the funeral sector for greater accountability and transparency.
