Welcome to Waters & Sons Family Funeral Directors Funeral Directors Southampton Divider Compassionate and personal funeral planning support during your time of need As your local and family run Southampton based funeral directors, we are dedicated to guiding families in our communities through such a difficult time of their lives. We are the same team that cover all of Hampshire and further (as far as we’re asked to) at a time of need and, when you have been introduced to your funeral director, they will have the honour of looking after you and your loved one thought the funeral arrangements and beyond. Our team are completely dedicated, and we are incredibly proud to be guiding families through what is probably the most difficult time of their lives, whether they’re within our local communities or further afield. Because we’re independent you can be assured that we have the ability to provide you with any available (and suitable) product or service on offer from the most competitive suppliers across the industry giving a family lots more options as we have access to every supplier available, even if it’s only needed on the one occasion specially to meet your needs. With our funeral services, including no service funerals, low cost funerals, bespoke funerals and more specialised services, Waters & Sons Funeral Directors are fully committed to ensuring that we help you honour your loved one in a respectful, dignified and personal way.

I founded Waters & Sons - Merryoak in 2009 after having worked in the industry following my previous career as an auxiliary nurse, to be a family owned and run funeral directors as I could see that there was a lack of local family funeral directors in the area. Over this time I have managed to build a great rapport with the local community, serving many local families and fulfilling their wishes. Over the years my sons, David, and Craig, have grown into the industry and have fully joined the family business of which I am still very much involved day to day. Years on, to now we now have fully licensed and industry trained Staff who, individually, take it upon themselves to maintain their own professional development and continued training throughout their careers. We are 100% Independent and although our main funeral home and care centre is in Merryoak, we have funeral homes in Aldermoor and Portchester too, all with their own comfortable and inviting private arranging rooms and beautifully presented chapels of rest. Being Independent means absolute continuity for you as a family. I hope you find all the information here useful, but if we can be of any help, it doesn’t matter if it’s 10.00pm at night or 2am in the morning, give us a call, my family is here to care for your family 24 hours a day.
