With many of the well known funeral directing companies now owned by much large corporate companies Hickton Family Funeral Directors, is now only one of a small handful of family owned funeral business. Where the funeral home is located on the Penn Road, there is a row of four funeral directors with ours being the only family owned. In early 2018 the entire premises was renovated, and re decorated. We have a private family room, a private viewing room, reception area, private offices upstairs and a full mortuary facility. The funeral home used to be called Edward John Funerals, however the Hickton family took over in 2018. Although we are located on the Penn Road, we conduct funerals across Wolverhampton and also in the surrounding villages and areas. The funeral director can give you a full list of what they can supply. They are likely to charge for these additional products and services, so you may choose to take care of some arrangements without their involvement, or you can use a different supplier.
1. This fee (which is sometimes called the interment fee) is the charge made for digging and closing a new grave, or for reopening and closing an existing grave.
2. In England, Wales and Northern Ireland, you will usually need to pay doctors’ fees as well. This is the charge for two doctors to sign the Medical Certificates for Cremation.
