Simplicita Cremations is the only independent family owned direct cremation specialists in the UK since 1970! We were first to offer a Direct Cremation in this country back in 1991, we are the original pioneers of Direct Cremation in England.
Direct cremations take place without mourners, completely separate from any personal farewell or service. The freedom to choose when and how you say goodbye makes direct cremation an increasingly popular, legal and dignified choice. We collect the deceased, wherever they are and treat them with every dignity whilst they’re resting in our care. Then we help and advise you with all the paperwork. We’re available whenever you have questions or need assistance. The cremation will then take place, serenely, without a service, procession or any mourners in attendance. Following the cremation, you can choose to receive the loved one’s ashes or ask us to scatter them on your behalf. We’ll create for you a free online memorial in tribute to your loved one, where you can share memories, thoughts and stories with family and friends as well as light candles, add music, photos and videos. You can collect fundraising donations for a special charity or project in their name, organise events, celebrate anniversaries – and much more. We’ll help you use Life Ledger to inform over 1,000 UK companies, raging from banks, insurers and pension providers to gas, water, telecoms and social media. Saving you hours of time and removing the need to have the same difficult conversation over and over again. We’ll register your loved ones details with The Sop Mail service’s Bereavement Register. Any company wishing to send marketing or junk mail can check their mailing list for people who have passed away. If the direct mail companies find any matches, they will remove your loved ones details and stop sending them mail. They are obliged to do this by law. We team up with #TEAMTREES to plant one tree for every person in our care, helping them restore vital habitats across the planet. With over 23 MILLION TREES planted so far, we are proud to be playing our small part. For every cremation we carry out we use #TEAMSEAS to remove a pound of rubbish from oceans, beaches and rivers, this is the most cutting edge and impactful clean-up project of all time with 32 MILLION POUNDS of rubbish removed so far. Our ground-breaking, responsibly sourced coffin material meets industry requirements yet uses 80% fewer trees and produces up to 87% less greenhouse gas emissions when cremated. If everyone in the UK used this type of coffin instead of a laminated chipboard one, we would save over 118,000 trees and take the equivalent of up to 110,000 cars off our roads each year. WE OPERATE NATIONWIDE
