Based in the heart of Leigh, Sankey & Monks Funeral Directors have been helping the families of Lancashire for many years. You can find our funeral home on Hope Street, round the corner from Leigh Post Office and a short walk from Leigh Town Hall. Due to our central location, we can be easily found from Firs Lane, Plank Lane, Westleigh and Hope Carr.We understand that when a loved one passes away it is a difficult time, which is why our compassionate team is here every step of the way. We will listen to all of your wishes and arrange a farewell that expresses your loved one's personality. We can cater for every preference, whether it is a traditional or religious funeral, woodland burial or an uplifting commemoration of their life.Our large funeral home is specially equipped so that our funeral directors can tend to your loved one with the utmost dignity and respect. We have two arrangement rooms and a large chapel for services of up to 30 people.Our dedicated and attentive team will make sure that all of your funeral needs and wishes are met. The funeral director can give you a full list of what they can supply. They are likely to charge for these additional products and services, so you may choose to take care of some arrangements without their involvement, or you can use a different supplier.

1. This fee (which is sometimes called the interment fee) is the charge made for digging and closing a new grave, or for reopening and closing an existing grave.

2. In England, Wales and Northern Ireland, you will usually need to pay doctors’ fees as well. This is the charge for two doctors to sign the Medical Certificates for Cremation.
