Murrant Family Funeral Services

Murrant Family Funeral Services was opened in 2007 by husband-and-wife directors Michael and Lynn Murrant. Our head office sits in a central location within the village of Martham. Michael and Lynn’s sons Luke and Taylor were initially involved in the business; however, both have gone on to find important roles within the military. We are truly independent and family-run funeral directors and are extremely proud of our ability to treat all families as we would our own, with care, support, dignity and respect. Lola the Jack Russell cross has always been an integral part of Murrant Family Funeral Services and, as a bereavement dog, can sit with families when they visit us and is otherwise found snoozing in her bed or being spoilt by the team! At Murrant, we understand the profound challenges that come with losing a loved one. We are committed to providing compassionate support to families during their time of need. Our dedicated team is here to guide you through every step of the funeral planning process, offering a warm and empathetic approach to ensure that your unique wishes and those of your departed loved one are honored with care and respect. We take pride in our attention to detail, striving to create meaningful and personalised ceremonies that reflect the individuality of each life we celebrate. If you are in need of our services or would like to discuss pre-planning options, please do not hesitate to contact us. Our experienced staff is available 24/7 to assist you, offering guidance and solace during this difficult time. At Murrant Family Funeral Services, we are here to support you and your family, providing comfort and assistance when you need it most. We serve all locations within the coastal villages and beyond and, in 2019, opened a second location, Apollo House on Northgate Street in Great Yarmouth, to enable us to care for families in the Great Yarmouth area and further afield when required. Apollo House is also where we can offer small funeral services at a low cost. In 2014, Michael became qualified as a civil celebrant, which means we can provide all staffing needed for a full funeral service either at our premises or at a crematorium, including direct and unlimited communication with the person delivering a personalised funeral service either in one of our branches or in the comfort of your home. We are now a team which includes funeral operatives Robert and Sandra and funeral operations manager Jennie. All staff members are available to offer guidance to families, care for the deceased and be part of the staff looking after all aspects of a funeral on the day. We feel it can be comforting to know your funeral director. We make every effort to be involved within our local community and create the kind of personal relationships which lead to individual and sensitive service.
