Kriss Morrison Cooper Independent Funeral Director Ltd
At 8 Years old Kriss saw a funeral passing by and was intrigued by what he saw, this was the start of his interest in funerals. When he was 15 years old he completed a week long works experience at Coalville Co-op Funeral Services, here he was allowed to observe the day to day workings of a busy funeral service and when he left school at 16 he enrolled on a Youth Training Scheme at Coalville Co-Op for 2 years. When his 2 years were up he took a break from the funeral trade and began working for Royal Mail. After a few years Kriss decided to rejoin the funeral profession and he became a driver/bearer for Swanns of Loughbrorough. Realising he had found his true vocation he moved to McCartneys of Hinckley as a Trainee Funeral Director and completed his 12 months training in just 6 months. Kriss stayed with McCartneys for 7 years and added to his qualifications and experience. A career move took Kriss back to Swanns where he served as a Funeral Director and later a Senior Funeral Director. He also gained a Diploma in Funeral Directing from the National Association of Funeral Directors, making him the only qualified Funeral Director in Loughborough. In 2015 Kriss finally realised his dream of owning his own Funeral Directors.
