We don’t offer funeral packages, we believe each funeral is a unique experience, which is why we listen and tailor the funeral to your individual requirements and budget needs. It is a difficult time and there is a wealth of options available to you, which is why we are more than happy to answer any questions you may have or indeed simply offer some advice. Serving the local communities including Slough, Maidenhead, Staines, Windsor, Egham, Ascot, Bracknell, High Wycombe and surrounding areas, H.J Newman (formally trading as Newman & Son) has been guiding and supporting families through their bereavement since the business was started by Harold J Newman in 1960. Now a third generation family business, the services and facilities provided at our premises have been very carefully planned to cover all needs and requirements for our clients including disabled access facilities and ample customer parking available. H.J Newman offers a wide choice of funeral services tailored to all individuals’ needs and faiths including horse drawn funerals, non-service funerals, pre-bookable funerals, woodland burials, green funerals and traditional funeral services. As each funeral service is a unique experience, we are more than happy to answer any questions you may have or indeed simply offer some advice. A Newman family member is always available during office hours and in addition we provide an out of hours 24 hour/365 a day service for collection of your loved one.

The funeral director can give you a full list of what they can supply. They are likely to charge for these additional products and services, so you may choose to take care of some arrangements without their involvement, or you can use a different supplier.
1. This fee (which is sometimes called the interment fee) is the charge made for digging and closing a new grave, or for reopening and closing an existing grave.
2. In England, Wales and Northern Ireland, you will usually need to pay doctors’ fees as well. This is the charge for two doctors to sign the Medical Certificates for Cremation.
