.FRED HAMER SERVING & CARING FOR THE FAMILIES OF THE NORTH WEST FOR OVER 100 YEARS

Fred Hamer is one of the region’s oldest family owned and run funeral directors. It has been supporting bereaved families for over 100 years, during which time, the family firm has built up a trusted reputation for providing high quality care and professionalism to the families it is privileged to support. John, the firm’s Managing Director, who has been running the business for more than 50 years, is assisted by his wife Dawn and daughters Emma and Hannah. He has built a team of highly experienced staff, many of whom have been with the firm for over 25 years. Over the years, the firm has grown significantly and has branches throughout the North West. From its operational base at Cedar Lodge, Rawtenstall, the firm runs one of the largest fleets of Mercedes and Rolls Royce ceremonial vehicles in the area. In addition to serving their own funerals, these vehicles are also made available to other firms who don’t have vehicles of their own. We are proud to be: “Providing excellence through experience” Quality personal service and word-of-mouth recommendations have helped to build the firm into one of the largest in the area. Families who put their funeral arrangements into the hands of Fred Hamer Funeral Services will receive guidance and support from the first point of contact and throughout. They will always provide practical help with warmth and understanding through your time of need. The company is a member of the National Association of Funeral Directors, and is proud to have several holders of the association’s Diploma in Funeral Directing amongst its staff. Several of the funeral directors are licensed members of the British Institute of Funeral Directors.
