Aston Walker Family Funeral Directors were established in 2005 by Neil Walker, having worked for many other well-known funeral directors he realised that this sensitive and compassionate profession was his calling… Neil has lived and worked in Margate all his life and with this knowledge of the local community he knew there was a need for a funeral service that was both transparent and fair, he also knew there needed to be a funeral service that was able to offer families the time they deserved in order to arrange truly unique funerals. Over the years Aston Walker Funeral Directors has grown into one of Margate’s most trusted funeral homes and Neil and the team have supported many families throughout Thanet at the most difficult times… each and every one of our families have become our friends and we are proud of the reputation we have built in our community. Aston Walker Funeral Directors offer step by step guidance when arranging the funeral of a loved one and families are welcome to visit us at our Cliftonville funeral home in order to simply talk through the options available to them at a time of bereavement, we also offer home arrangements for families who might be more comfortable in their own homes and no obligation helpful advice….. furthermore we are proud to be able to display full costs on our website which give families the benefit of being able to fully cost all funeral arrangements before making any decisions as we understand funerals can be expensive and we aim to allow you to build a funeral service that is not only fitting but also affordable. The funeral director can give you a full list of what they can supply. They are likely to charge for these additional products and services, so you may choose to take care of some arrangements without their involvement, or you can use a different supplier.
1. This fee (which is sometimes called the interment fee) is the charge made for digging and closing a new grave, or for reopening and closing an existing grave.
2. In England, Wales and Northern Ireland, you will usually need to pay doctors’ fees as well. This is the charge for two doctors to sign the Medical Certificates for Cremation.
